Ned grew up in rural Nebraska several miles outside of a town of 500 people, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, with minors in astronomy and computer science and a Master of Science in Mathematics from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.
He came to Indianapolis in August 2008, to solve the “Two Body” problem, as his wife is a professor of mathematics at the University of Indianapolis.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and friends, watching anime, reading manga, and going to the Nebraska Star Party and the annual TeX user group meeting.
