From Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK)
By taxi: Taxis are relatively inexpensive in China and are the most convenient way to get around Beijing. As very few cab drivers speak English, it is recommended that non-Chinese speakers have the destination information written out in Chinese characters. For directions to the office in Chinese, click on the Chinese language tab above. Fares start at 10 rmb for the first 3 kilometers and cost 2 rmb for each additional kilometer. The taxi meter runs while waiting in traffic. Taxi fare from the airport to Tsinghua Science Park is about 110 rmb.
By Airport Express Train (light rail) and subway: Take the Airport Express Train to Sanyuanqiao station. Transfer to subway line 10, exit at Zhichunlu station, and then take a taxi to campus. Total cost is about 38 rmb (25 for Airport Express, 2 for subway, 11 for taxi). Airport Express runs from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
By airport shuttle: Take the airport shuttle bus (line 5) to Zhongguancun, and get off at the last stop. Then take a taxi to Tsinghua Science Park. Total cost is about 28 rmb (16 for airport shuttle, 12 for taxi).
From City Center
By subway: Wudaokou Station (line 13) is the closest station to Tsinghua Science Park. When you exit the station through the north exit/Exit A, walk about 750 meters, or half a mile. Tickets can be purchased at all station kiosks. Subway trains run from 5 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. For more information, see the Beijing subway website and subway map.
