This symposium celebrates the historic move of the archive of modernist writer, Federico García Lorca, from the Fundación Federico García Lorca, now in the Residencia de Estudiantes in Madrid, to the Centro Lorca in Granada, offering reflections on the nature of the archive and its present situation, its impact on the image and study of Lorca, and potential projects that might increase its visibility and potential to engage the public in the future.

A set of online short-courses developed for public health workforce in India will be introduced to the New Delhi based partner organizations (including universities and NGOs). During the workshop and training sessions participants will pilot test the courses developed by the faculty and staff of the School of Public Health-Indiana University Bloomington titled “Public Health and You” (India Version). Participants and facilitators will provide comments and feedback regarding the cultural adaptability, future applications of these courses and possible target audience so that more skilled public health workforce can be developed in India.

Religious authority has been among the most fiercely contested issues among Muslims. Despite its significant implications for Muslims and non-Muslims alike this subject has also been among the least studied in the West and has proven particularly baffling for outside observers and for policy makers. In this initiative, through local, national and international collaborative work, scholars analyze the causes, spectra and consequences of the plurality of authority in Islam in South Asia and create a novel, comprehensive, multi-lingual and global-reaching analytical framework to study this question.
