Global Gateways

Building connections around the globe

Indiana University’s Global Gateways have helped to establish IU as a global university, serving as entry points to the rest of the world.

The Global Gateway Network builds relationships with universities, institutes, NGOs, government, and businesses around the world, creating opportunities for research, partnerships, conferences, workshops, overseas study, and internships.

How can the Global Gateways assist you?

Each Global Gateway helps IU faculty, staff, students, alumni, and partners advance their academic and professional interests in the country or region which it serves by providing:

  • A high-quality, IU-branded space for hosting workshops, mini-conferences, receptions, and meetings; or to use as a base for study abroad programs or personal research
  • Resident staff to share advice and connections, and to provide logistical support
  • Expert knowledge and contacts to help develop and support research, curricular programs, and other initiatives

The India Gateway provided a link between IU faculty and faculty working in and around New Delhi, and also a beautiful, professional space in which to meet. . . . This was a rare opportunity that will feed my future work.
