A group of students and faculty from Indiana University East visits Beijing as a part of a study abroad course. The course discusses the contribution of China’s increasing political and economic clout over the last several decades to the cross-cutting and integrative processes of economic, political, and cultural globalization. The class takes a 12-day educational trip to Beijing and Shanghai to observe and evaluate the economic and cultural vitality of China. While in Beijing, the group organizes a symposium with a peer Chinese university and visits IU Gateway China office. For detailed information, please contact the lead instructors Dr. Litao Zhong at litzhong@iue.edu or Dr. Kris Rees at kmrees@indiana.edu.
