The Center on Global and American Studies (CAGS) will be conducting a conference, Building Pan Asian Connectivity, on March 10-11, 2015 in Kolkata, India which will focus on security issues, trade, and water issues in Northeast India and Southeast Asia. CAGS will hold a post-conference event at the India Gateway to disseminate findings from the conference proceedings and share them with a wider audience. This event will reach out to graduate students, both global and local, through a video conference which will include three of the expert speakers from the Kolkata event. A representative expert from each conference topic will present findings of the conference and respond to questions. Relevant IU graduate students will be invited to attend virtually along with students from institutions affiliated with the expert panel. CAGS will also seek to bring students from local institutions in Gurgaon to the Gateway. This event is funded by a grant from the US Department of State and seed funding from the Office of Vice President of International Affairs (OVPIA).
