Indiana University Department of Environmental Health at the School of Public Health and IU India Gateway will facilitate a field trip field trip to New Delhi. The program is embedded in two courses (SPH-V422/V522) on global environmental health issues, which will be offered to both graduate and undergraduate students of Bloomington campus at the same time. On this trip, students will observe some ongoing intervention projects implemented by Seghal Foundation and Aga Khan Trust in the areas of water and sanitation. Participants will also meet the students from the School of Human Ecology at Ambedkar University to discuss and analyze public health workforce development strategies in context of both developed and developing countries. Supplementary cultural activities around New Delhi will provide greater insight to the Indian culture.
