The Department of Environmental Health at the School of Public Health-Bloomington hosts a field trip to New Delhi. This program is embedded in two courses (SPH-V422 & V522) on global environmental health issues, offered to both graduate and undergraduate students. On this trip, students will observe some ongoing intervention projects implemented by Sehgal Foundation and Aga Khan Trust in the areas of water, sanitation and community health. Participants will also meet the faculty and students from Ambedkar University Delhi (AUD) and Amity University Uttar Pradesh (AUUP) who are currently involved in various environmental health research projects in New Delhi and vicinity. Several classroom sessions and field trips will be facilitated by these two academic institutions. Supplementary cultural activities around New Delhi (including an Agra trip for visiting Taj Mahal) will provide greater insight to the Indian culture.
