This workshop will focus on indigenous communities and the institutions and programs that support them. Participants include the director of one of the oldest Casas de Cultura in Mexico, linguists dedicated to teaching indigenous languages, archeologists who work with communities to create local museums and ways of making cultures visible to global audiences, and poets who designed innovative programs to support the community of Juchitan after the September 8, 2017 earthquake.
