Dear Colleagues:
This spring will mark the 30th anniversary of the John W. Ryan Award for Distinguished Contributions to International Programs and Studies, which honors faculty and librarians who have made exceptional contributions to international programs and engagement. To commemorate this anniversary during the university's Bicentennial, President Michael McRobbie will present three Ryan Awards at the Celebration of Distinguished Teaching Dinner in the spring—to a faculty member or librarian on the Bloomington campus, one on the Indianapolis campus, and one on a regional campus.
Faculty and librarians of all ranks and titles are eligible to be nominated for the awards. Nomination materials include a curriculum vitae and two or three letters of support documenting contributions in global teaching, research, service, and engagement that have had a sustained impact on the university’s internationalization. External letters, including those from overseas, strengthen the nomination.
The application process will be conducted online through the University Honors and Awards website. The application deadline is October 15, 2019.
Many thanks for helping us recognize outstanding faculty and librarians during this Bicentennial year.
Sincerely,
Hannah L. Buxbaum Vice President |
