Global Classroom gave a new avenue for international exchange to teacher education students who may have been unable to pursue more traditional Study Abroad. The opportunity to expand existing course content and elaborate through collaboration is incredibly powerful.

Spring 2022 | EDUC-K307
EDUC-K307 is primarily intended for educators, but designed to provide theoretical and practical information about special education methods (and some aspects of disability studies) to students with a variety of personal and professional goals. Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and differentiated instruction are core concepts in the course, and will give a foundation to explore legal concepts, appropriate accommodations, instructional strategies, and the role of assessment. Students also explore various components of an Individualized Education Program (IEP) and how to use SMART annual goals to create appropriate IEP documents for students with special needs.
