Biography

Minu Thomas, Program Manager of the IU India Gateway office, has more than fourteen years of professional experience in education and education-consultancy services. In her professional capacity in the international education sector, she held positions as EducationUSA Coordinator at United States-India Educational Foundation (USIEF), New Delhi and had worked as an Administrator for IELTS exams, IDP Education Australia, Chennai. Previously, Minu had also worked as a Research Scholar and Teaching Assistant at the Department of Communications and New Media (CNM), National University of Singapore (NUS).

Prior to joining Indiana University, India Gateway, Minu worked as an English teacher at higher secondary level at schools in Delhi, Thiruvananthapuram and Chennai. She has also been associated with the programs of the State Governments of Delhi and Tripura for teaching English communication for adults. She also has experience in curriculum content development for kindergarten children.

Minu holds two Masters degrees, one in Communications and New Media from the National University of Singapore, and the other in English literature from the University of Madras. Minu has also completed two Bachelors degrees, one in Education and the other in English Literature. She had successfully completed, the Cambridge Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CELTA) at the British Council, New Delhi. She loves to sing and secretly aspires to be a voice-over artist!
