Biography

Lía Juy Albarrán is the IU Mexico Gateway Communications Coordinator. Growing up in an international home in Mexico City, with a Mexican mother and Chinese father, was the catalyst that led her to study International Relations at the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences from UNAM. She also has a strong interest in languages and is currently studying English, French and Korean.

Lía has experience as a Professor’s Assistant in International Economics and assisted the co-founder and Academic Coordinator of a Mexican Cultural Center accommodating schedules and agendas for courses offered by the cultural center, attending administrative meetings, making marketing and diffusion material for classes and courses and assisting other staff as much as possible. Additionally she was an intern at the IU Mexico Gateway for over a year before officially joining the IU Global team.
