Biography

Anneliese Toumey is the Program Coordinator for the IU Honors Program in Foreign Language (IUHPFL). She helps organize and coordinate study abroad programming for Indiana high school students and communicates with students, parents, and instructors within the program. Anneliese attended IU, graduating with degrees in Spanish and History. She studied abroad her junior year in Lima, Perú through IU’s undergraduate study abroad program. She later became a teacher through the University of Wisconsin’s graduate program, teaching in various settings including a dual language immersion program and classes with many language learners. Anneliese has always enjoyed working with and for young people, and is excited to bring her teaching and language knowledge to IUHPFL. Outside of work, Anneliese enjoys cooking, running, swimming, and reading.
