At IU, we firmly believe that global engagement is one of the hallmarks of a great university. We are proud of our long history of international activity, and committed to offering all of our students an education enriched by diverse perspectives, cultures, and languages.
The large community of international students who come to IU, and the large community of IU students who study abroad, are central to that experience.
Today, we’re ready to take the next step by bringing these communities together in the Stephen L. and Connie J. Ferguson International Center on the Bloomington campus. This building will house the offices and programs that provide service and support for these communities, creating exciting new opportunities for interaction and collaboration among our students.
The building will be the heart of international programming and student activities on campus. It will also serve as a venue for hosting foreign academic and government delegations, highlighting our standing as one of the country’s most globally engaged universities.
