Topical Issues in Comprehensive Design

Students in Jon Racek’s Topical Issues in Comprehensive Design will partner with students of Jean de Dieu Nzabonimpa at INES-Ruhengeri in Musanze, Rwanda. Dr Nzabonimpa will be directing students to work with local community members to get an understanding of what kinds of products they need to be more efficient in their jobs or at home. IU students will take those ideas and together with Dr Nzabonimpa’s students will co-design and prototype these products. Prototyping will take place at IU and then those files will be emailed to Dr Nzabonimpa’s students to be 3d printed and tested in the field in Musanze.
