Engaging Elnora: A Global Studio for Rural Revitalization

For this global studio, den Hartog's students from Tongji (approximately 10 graduate-level) will apply walking research methods to systematically analyze a rural site in China, potentially the celebrated canal town of Wuzhen near Shanghai. Simultaneously, Steenblik's cohort of 20 undergraduate students at Indiana University will conduct similar explorations in a small rural community in Southern Indiana, an area heavily shaped by agricultural economies.
