Indiana University's partnership with Yonsei University was established in December 1986 and included options for faculty and student exchanges. Although the exchange of graduate students ceased in 2013, the exchange of faculty between the two universities continues to be active. In January 2013, IU's School of Public and Environmental Affairs entered into a general cooperation agreement with Yonsei University's Department of Public Administration. In November 2014, IU's School of Informatics and Computing and Yonsei University's Department of Library and Information Science agreed to cooperate on a dual degree program (Master of Information Science from Indiana University, Master of Arts in Library and Information Science from Yonsei University) and exchange faculty and graduate students.
