Indiana University and Zhejiang University have been partners since 1985. The universities have continued to collaborate on a faculty exchange program. Over the years, IU and Zhejiang University have exchanged graduate students (discontinued in 2013) and hosted groups of undergraduates for short-term programs at their respective university campuses. In August 2012, The School of Education at IU and the College of Education at Zhejiang University entered into a broad cooperation agreement that lays the foundation for faculty and doctoral student exchanges, short-term undergraduate student visits, collaborative online courses, and other collaborative activities such as joint projects and joint sponsorship of international conferences.
