By taxi: Taxis are relatively inexpensive in China and are the most convenient way to get around Beijing. Fares start at 10 rmb for the first 3 kilometers and cost 2 rmb for each additional kilometer. The taxi meter runs while waiting in traffic. The taxi fare from the airport to Global Trade Center is about 100 rmb.
As very few cab drivers speak English, it is recommended that non-Chinese speakers have the destination information written out in Chinese characters.
By subway: He Ping Xi Qiao Station (line 5) is the closest station to the Global Trade Center. When you exit the station through the northwest exit (Exit A), walk about 500 meters (or a little less than half a mile) to the west. Tickets can be purchased at all station kiosks. Subway trains run from 5 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
