If you need to mail something to the IU China Gateway it is important to include cell phone numbers in the address, as this is the primary form of identification the Chinese postal service uses to confirm addresses.

The IU China Gateway offices are approximately 30 km away from the Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK). It takes about 30 minutes to 50 minutes to travel between the two places by car, depending on traffic situation. We suggest visitors to reserve at least 1 hour in their schedule to cover the journey between the China Gateway Office and Beijing Capital International Airport. One-way taxi fare varies from approximately RMB 100 to 160.

As very few cab drivers speak English, it is recommended that non-Chinese speakers have the destination information written out in Chinese characters.

Beijing Daxing International Airport (PKX) is another airport visitors to our China Gateway Office may travel from and to. The Airport is nearly 60 km to our office location and it may take at least 1.5 hours to go there by car even with normal traffic. We strongly recommend visitors to reserve at least 2.5 hours in their schedule to travel between this airport and the Gateway office. Taxi fare costs at least RMB 200 and may go up to RMB 350, depending on traffic situation.

The Shougang International Building is only about 5 minutes away from Exit B of Xizhimen Station (西直门站) on Subway Line 2 and Line 4 by foot. However, taking subway trains is not recommended for visitors carrying multiple, or large, pieces of luggage.
